Billiards tables come in 7 foot, 8 foot, oversize 8 foot, 9 foot, 10 foot, and 12 foot (depending upon factors such as available room in the venue, and what game type the table is intended for) with play areas twice as long as they are wide, from the nose of the cushion to the nose of the opposite cushion.

The regulation pool tables are called either 9 foot or 8 foot tables. There dimensions on the playing surface are -

100 x 50 inches (9 foot)

92 x 46 inches (oversize 8 foot)

88 by 44 inches (8 foot)

And for the full table dimensions 1 foot needs to be added for each measure to account fo the 6 inch rails.

Regulation billiards tables are 10 feet by 5 feet. The playing surface is required to be 9.32 feet by 4.65 feet, plus or minus 5 millimeters. The height of a regulation table may vary from 75 to 80 centimeters.
