In pocket billiards, a scratch is a slang term to refer to a foul where the cue ball either goes into a pocket or leaves the table. After a scratch, the next player gets "ball-in-hand" with the cue ball. This allows them to place the ball anywhere on the table, or, depending upon house rules or if the scratch occurred on the break, placing it behind the head string. In 8 Ball, if the scratch occurs and the 8 ball is pocketed as well, it is a loss of game - under some House Rules, a scratch when shooting the 8 ball is automatic loss of game.
Well, darling, light hits the ball, some colors get absorbed, but blue and white bounce off and into your eyes. Your eyes send that info to your brain, which then goes, "Hey, that ball is blue with a white stripe!" Voilà, you see a blue ball with a white stripe.
I don't think it matters if it tapped a different ball. As long as it went into the pocket the person claimed, and the person didn't scratch.
an overhead is when the other person hits a high ball in the air and then you go and swing your racket down on the ball so it hits it.
When serving team hits the ball and returning team cannot return in three tries or when ball hits the floor. Serving team hits the ball and it goes out of bounds point for other side.
A point is a point. However, if one hits the ball straight onto the ground on the other side, it is a kill, and if one serves a ball that the other team doesn't pass or shanks, it is called an ace.
if you are person a and the opponent is person b, then when person a hits the ball into the net before it hits the other persons side, then person b gets the point.
when the other team misses the serve, when the other team hits the ball more then 3 times, when the other team hits it out of bounce, when you serve the ball and its in and the other team doesnt touch it, there a lot of ways to get the point in volleyball
A green ball appears green in white light because the ball reflects light in the green wavelength range and absorbs other wavelengths. White light contains all the different colors of the visible spectrum, so when it hits the green ball, only the green light is reflected back to our eyes.
If the ball hits the line then the ball is called in. But if its even a little bit over the line then its out and the other team gets the ball.
no,if you hit the other persons ball and it goes in the hole it does not count.
The ball is dead whenever the umpire calls "time", whenever it goes out of play, when it becomes a foul ball, whenever a pitch hits a batter, or whenever a batted ball hits a runner (and a few other circumstances). It doesn't matter whether the pitcher has it or not. On the other hand, it can't be put back _in play_ until the pitcher has it and is on the rubber.
