One inch thick should not be too heavy for two people, please be careful with the weight.
You will need:
Needle nose pliers for taking out staple from the cloth.
Socket wrench for the bolts.
Screwdrivers
Hammer possibly
Razor blades (flat)
Dust mask
Garbage bags
Wrench
Allen Wrench for the pocket
These are generic and what I can remember when I was taking apart 10 foot snooker tables and 9 foot pool tables from Brunswick.
Take out the pockets first
then
You will need to start with the rails. Take them off by removing the bolts from underneath the table. They should be spaced out between the pockets
Remove the cloth by pulling out the staples.
When the cloth is off you will need to break the seams that hold the slate pieces together. use the razor blade to clear whatever was used to keep it together. The slate should be held down by bolts. You will need to remove them to take the slate apart.
Good Luck..
You may need modified instructions depending on your table.
A pool table is easy to disassemble using just a pair of wrenches, a large screwdriver (slate) and a medium screwdriver (ball return, pockets). The ball return system is removed first, along with hanger hooks and shelfs. The rails and pockets can usually be removed as one large assembly, and then dissassmbled. The surface cloth must be removed, usually just ripped off as it rarely is re-used. Plaster of Paris above the slate screws need to be cleaned away (smal screwdriver) and then the slate holddown screws can be removed. After lifting the slate off the table base, the bolts and nuts holding it together can be accessed and removed.
Restoring a pool table is no different than restoring any other piece of fine furniture, but it has some components that require special attention.
Particula attention should be paid to the cloth on the rails as it is removed to understand how to properly miter the corners.
Afer disassembly, the wood needs to be stripped and refinished. The rails typically need their diamonds, which may be round or diamond shaped, replaced. If the pockets are drop pockets, the leathers typically need to be replaced. This may require purchase of custom work. The rail rubber should be replaced as well. This requires purchase of new rubber and pocket surfaces. The adhesive used should be an industrial quality rubber-wood cement. New feather strips will be needed for each rail to replace the rail cloth. Beeswax and plaster of paris will be needed to seal and re-surface the slate after it is re-attached. The cloth needs to be pulled taut, but not tight, as it is attached to rails and to the play surface.
The ball return sections must be removed first. Next, the rails must be removed. The rails can be removed as an assembly on most tables. Next, the old fabric must be stripped and staples removed. The slate top should be cleaned with a damp cloth. If any imperfections can be seen these must be repaired before covering.
The fabric is laid down, proper side up and aligned evenly. Fasten the center of one end to the board on the slate back. Go to other end and pull taut, but not tight, and fasten underneath. Go to a corner, pull taut (no wrinkles should be seen) and fasten. Go to opposing corner, pull taut, and fasten. Repeat with the last 2 corners. Pick a side, go to the center (right next to side pocket) and pull gently watching the cloth, and fasten Go to the side opposite and pull taut and fsten. Now look at the cloth all around to be sure there are no wrinkles and its grain remained square - if not, yoou have to work backwards to correct any error. Once done, complet the fastening by pulling taut working from the center out on each side, then complete the end fastening.
Nxt the pockets need to be cut. Using a hobby knife, cut nearly up to the slate making triangles in the felt. The felt is then fastened by pulling taut - some trimming will be needed as the felt is pulled down to prevent creating little "bumps" in the fabric at the edge of the slate. Inspect the workmanship of all this now before replacing the rails.
It was not a pool table if it only had 4 pockets if it was made since about 1800. A 4 pocket table is most likely a bumper pool table.
I do not own a pool table.
Pool table in french is billard
a pool table has balls but billard table has balls to play i would reccommed the pool table
A hockey table is my opinion.I'd have to say a pool table. Unlike hockey or football, you don't need 2 people to play pool.
There are many pool games that can be played on a pool table. Some pool table games include eight-ball, nine-ball, three-ball, one-pocket, and bank pool.
There is no regulation bumper pool table size.
A pool table does not have a semi-circle. Only the snooker table has a semi-circle.
The major reason people have their own pool table is to be able to play the game at their leisure. Having your own pool table is the most efficient, and in the long run the cheapest, way to practice.
