Flexibility is very important in Netball because some ways in which you land after catching the ball you would need a great amount of flexibility, you would also need it if someone throws a bad pass, you need to be able to get yourself up in the air or twist around to receive the pass, also if you drop the ball or the ball is passed along the ground you need to be able to get down to pick it up.

Flexibility is essential in Netball. This is because Netballers need to be able to stretch far, for interceptions and receiving passes. Also, Netballers need flexibility to change direction (dodging) and pivoting (moving the body and legs). Flexibility is also essential when preventing injury, e.g. preventing cramp and pulled muscles when moving around the court.

Flexibility is not NEEDED for netball but balance is definitely needed. Being very Flexible may make it easier for you to injure yourself. By having very flexible joints it means they are very unstable and you need to build the muscles surrounding the joints

Flexibility isn't really important in netball, I'm just about as flexible as a tree :P and I play well. Although flexibility could come in handy when it come to rolling you ankles etc.

they need to be flexible so that they jump, intercept/tip the ball and also reach back to win the ball.
