Eddie LeBaron was the primary starter in the Cowboys first season (1960). He started 10 of their 12 games. Don Meredith and Don Heinrich each started 1 game in 1960. LeBaron was also the primary starter in 1961, starting 10 of the 14 games. Don Meredith took over as starter in the 1962 season and was the Cowboys primary starter between then and 1968. Craig Morton took over for Meredith in 1969.
