The Angel's "G-force" refers to the heart of the Angel's batting order in 2004. The players in this group were Vladimir Guerrero, Garret Anderson, Troy Glaus, and Jose Guillen.

These four, however, were unable play a full season together, with Garret Anderson playing 112 games and Troy Glaus appearing in only 58 games. Near the end of the season, Jose Guillen got into a dispute with manager Mike Scioscia and as a result was suspended for the final eight games and left off the playoff roster. This was the year Guerrero was named AL MVP.

Both Jose Guillen and Troy Glaus left the team after the 2004 season.
