Did Dennis Lilley use a metal bat?

no Oh yes he did ! Possibly the finest bowler of a cricket ball of all time, DK Lilley tried using an alumium bat, he wasn't the finest exponent of the art of batting, it was not a good idea & he was disgusted to be out as I remember. The cricketing authorities did not see this as a good move, & the Aluminium bat is probably now in a museum (or the dustbin !)
