An underarm throw in softball is basically a pitch. If you watch a fast pitch softball team, you will see that the pitcher pitches underhand.
In baseball pitches are generally in the high eighties to low nineties range in mph. In softball pitches are in the upper 60s mph
There is no official fastest softball pitch recorded. The NPF (National Pro Fastpitch league) claims that pitches of 70+ MPH are common. The fastest pitch recorded at the 1996 Olympic Games was 73.2 MPH.
There are different grips for different pitches. Know the different pitches so you can work on the several grips
PIT is pitches thrown or pitch count.
You can walk after four pitches.
The batter missed three pitches. 3 strikes=your out
The fastest ever recored softball pitch is 95. By a 18 year old in Texas!!

A strike in softball is when a pitcher pitches a softball to the batter [located in the batter box in front of the catcher] and the batter misses. When it is a strike, it is thrown in a particular area from the batter's armpits to the bottom of their knees.
