I heard Al Davis wanted to leave the team to his wife and son when he died. So I guss they do now.

From 2005-Present, John Fisher (son of Donald Fisher, who founded the GAP clothing stores) owns 80% of the Oakland Athletics. Lew Wolff owns 10%, and his son, Billy Beane and Michael Crowley own the remaining 10%. If you're an A's fan and have ever wondered why the team is still prohibited from playing anywhere in Santa Clara County, it's because Mr. Fisher is an avid Giants fan. Years ago he purchased part of the Giants, specifically to keep them from moving from SF to Florida.

Until his death on October 9, 2011, Al Davis owned the Raiders and also served as their General Manager. He was not the sole owner, though, so the remaining owners will still own the team.
