No. With the exception of Michael Jordan. Most point guards have the ball the majority of the time and therefore are more important. Just look at where the top notch (Chris Paul) guards are taken in the draft. I would say very close. Obviously, a team needs a point guard to run it. However, a team cannot survive without a main scorer, usually a shooting guard. For instance, how would the Sacramento Kings be without Kevin Martin? Not that great. Same goes for the Lakers and Kobe Bryant- they can't win without him. That's not saying point guards aren't important- they are needed very much. It's just a matter of what your team needs. If your teams shooting guard is unbelievable and can handle the ball, and the shooting guard is more important. If your team already has a decent shooting guard but has a phenomenal point guard, then the point guard is more important.
There are 10 players on the court at one time, 5 on your team and 5 on the other, so that means there are 5 position needing to be played on each team. Which is Point Guard, Shooting Guard, Small Forward, Power Forward and Center. (PG,SG,SF,PF,C). So for example if you play Shooting Guard for your basketball team, you would guard the opposing Shooting Guard on the opposite team. As for for any other position.
Michael Jordan played the shooting guard (2 guard) position. He was the best in his time, and will forever be the best at his position. Shooting guard - for the Chicago Bulls. and at the end of his career, for the Washington Wizards.
Kobe Bryant
In years past I would never say this but Kobe Bryant is without a doubt the best team player in the nba. He doesnt get over ten assists a night, but he does whats best for his time at exatly the right time to win the game, wether its shooting the game winner or dishing down low to gasol for an easy bucket
Someone who has trained with it for a long time.
There are 3 positions for basketball. There are 2 guards (Point Guard and Shooting Guard), 2 forwards( Small Forward and Power Forward), and 1 center. There is 5 people on each team on the court at a time.
Australia is best team all the time
Pakistan
No Afghanistan is new team its take time to become a best team.
Not necessarily, but all DO violations result in a "turn over" which means your team gives up possession. In a foul may result in a free throw, if that person was fouled while he was shooting, if he wasn't the player that fouled him/her will just get a foul and the team will resume, the game. However if your team all together has reached four team fouls, your team is "in the penalty" or in a "bonus affect situation", and any time of foul whether a shooting foul or not, it will result two free throws (three if they were on the 3-point line.)
There are thousands of them every day. The best time to see them is between about 3 AM and dawn.
