Ty Law is a cornerback in the NFL. He has played for the New England Patriots (1995-2004), the New York Jets (2005) and the Kansas City Chiefs (2006-2007). He is currently a free agent. Ty Law was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the 1995 NFL draft out of The University of Michigan. He was taken with the 23rd selection of the first round. In his first year with the Patriots he started 7 out of 16 games (he missed two games with a hip flexor injury). He became the Patriots starting right corner when Maurice Hurst suffered a calf injury. In his second season, he transitioned to the left cornerback position.
