On October 5, 1991 he missed one to end his streak at 157.

He played for Miami (The U).

I find it hard to believe (especially with today's spread offense) that the record has not been broken, but I have found no information suggesting otherwise.

Actually the answer is Dan LeFevour of Central Michigan University. He had 150 total touchdowns in his college career (102 passing, 47 rushing and 1 receiving). Tebow ended up with 145 for his career.
