His name was Bob Griese, a Hall of Fame quarterback out of Purdue, drafted in the 4th round in 1967 by the AFL's Miami Dolphins.
Cause the hall of fame voters are idiots. He has the numbers (win/loss percentage) the pro bowls, and the MVPs to be inducted, he beat hall of famers Tarkenton and Bradshaw to win the super bowl in 1976 and made 2 of his receivers hall of famers. All I can say is that the H.o.F. voters just don't like him
