Setters come from the right back position. Even when the setter rotates he/she will switch the the right side after the serve is initiated.
Volleyball does not have a quarterback position.
Setter
setter or offside/rightside hitter
A Volleyball setter is the front right position. She/he is in charge of setting the ball over to another player of the same team so they can hit it over the net. The setter doesn't HAVE to set the ball they can bump it or anything else they want to do that is just the main thing.
The volleyball positions start with the setter then the two passers then two front hitters and then tha last position is the setter
The first setter in volleyball is generally credited to be the player who popularized the position in the 1930s. However, the exact identity of the first setter is not well-documented, as the role evolved over time. In modern volleyball, setters are crucial for orchestrating the offense, delivering accurate sets to attackers. The position has since become integral to the game's strategy and dynamics.
