That depends on how you define "point".

The score in soccer is measured in goals, not points. A goal is worth one goal, or one point if you really want to call it that.

In many tournaments, including the group stage of the FIFA World Cup, a team is awarded three points for a win and one point for a draw (other competitions or leagues may use a different system, see below). The number of goals scored does not affect the number of tournament points awarded.

Some leagues and competitions award tournament points (as described above) for goals scored or goal differential, but these are usually used as tie-breakers and aren't counted unless there is an actual tie. In these minority cases, the number of points awarded for goals scored or goal differential are usually capped at 3 or 4.
