If the inning should have been over, but was prolonged by a fielding error, any subsequent run that scores is considered unearned. Thus, even a home run does not impact on a pitcher's ERA in this instance

If you strike out someone and your era is 1.50?

Era has nothing to do with strikeouts. Era stands for earned run average meaning for every run that the other team earns it changes the average (ex: home run or they score a run off of a hit etc.). It is determined by dividing the number of earned runs allowed by the number of innings pitched and multiplying by nine. Runs resulting from defensive errors (including pitchers and defensive errors) are recorded as unearned runs and aren't used to determine Era.
