For the regular season the Saints had 13 wins while the Colts had 14. For the post season the Saints won 3 while the Colts won only 2 and lost the last game to the Saints. In total, both the Saints and the Colts had 16 wins each.
as of 2009-2010 season this year is because they are 4-0 and are foreseen to go to the super bowl 44 It could be argued that 2006 was a better season, since the Saints went to the NFC Championship (but lost to Chicago)....as of 1/16/2010 the Saints are poised to play in the second round of the NFC post-season, having won a bye in the first round. the second week of post season play will see the Saints host the Arizona Cardinals (and QB Kurt Warner)...if the Saints win, and move on to the NFC Championship Game, they will have matched their 2006 season. And if the Saints win that game, they would move to the SuperBowl for the first time ever. Currently they are one of five teams who have never been to the SuperBowl.
2011 World Series championsThe St. Louis Cardinals finished the 2011 season by winning the World Series. They defeated the Texas Rangers, four games to three.

Coming into the 2008 NFL season Roethlisberger's regular season winning percentage was 70.9%. Through the Baltimore Ravens game on December 14, 2008 that percentage had increased to 72.1%. He is 5-2 in the post-season giving him an overall winning percentage of 72.0% as of 12/15/2008.
The best win-streak was 13, which was broken by the Dallas Cowboys in 2009, which is this season. The 2009-2010 season has broken the record for the Saints' best season record, but 13-3 can change and the record could become higher. You'll just have to wait until the post-season is over.

At the end of the regular season. Post season success and even qualifying for the playoffs has no bearing on winning awards like those.
