He missed a home run

The Babe had a number of vices, he drank heavily, had a very foul mouth, ate way too much (which changed his physique from its initial lanky form to the tubby one that is often remembered) and tended to drive his car way to fast - crashing his car several times. He stayed out late, completely ignoring team curfews - often to the detriment of his normally amazing performance. Probably his worst fault though was his infidelity to his wife. He missed most of the 1925 season due to complications from Gonorrhea. Considering his constant womanizing, this is hardly surprising.
