There were many famous basketball players who wore number 12. Some of those players were Toby Bailey, Jim Barnes, John Barnhill, Drew Barry, and Josh Powell.

Over the years, several players have worn the number 12 for the San Diego Chargers. Notably, quarterback Dan Fouts, a Hall of Famer, wore the number during his illustrious career with the team. Other players include Drew Brees, who also had a successful tenure as quarterback before moving on to the New Orleans Saints, and more recently, punter Mike Scifres. Each of these players contributed significantly to the team's history while wearing the number 12.
Carlton Fisk wore #72 for the White Sox during his time there between 1981-1993. Fisk signed with the White Sox in 1981 after having been with the Red Sox since 1969. His number with the Red Sox was 27 but that number was taken so he reversed the digits and wore 72. The White Sox retired the number in 1997.
