What percentage of NBA players are white and American?

20-25% are white, whether it be American or from another country. The previous answer in on the low side. I believe the percentage is between 33% to 40% -- I have not done a complete count of all NBA Rosters, but I am quite sure it is at least 33% (1 in 3 players). The percentage has increased a lot in the last few years because of the Europe, Russian, Argentinian and Australian players now in the NBA.

Last year there was 48 white players in the NBA out of a possible 450. That number included european and asian players. That is about 10% or 1.5 white players per team.
