Lots of individual skating drills, team on ice drills etc...focus on agility moves, speed and endurance.

Off ice.....balance agility strength and endurance. For balance try bosu ball or balance board or do off ice puck/ball handling in one foot...the best is bosu ball there are complete hockey routine's. For strength lunges, one leg squats, run stairs, squat jumps and swim with flippers. Also do full body weght lifting moves not body building...cleans,chin ups and lots of medicine ball. Agility training do agility ladder excercises or jump rope and for endurance...ride bike, jog swim, skate or roller blade.

Lean weight is needed not bulk. If lean you are faster, have better balance and endurance. Its important to have a low center of balance. You don't want to look like a football player full of huge muscles.

Last is off ice puck handeling drills...use Golf ball, or use puck on ez glide mat or other plastic....short back and forth, wide, short wide, toe drags, L shapes and triangles, around the world and figure eights. Try it on on leg, moving feet or in squat position for more challenge.
