Baselines run behind the baskets. Sidelines run down the sides of the court. Three point line runs from each corner at each end to the opposite corner. Key is inside the three point line and is where you shoot from if the opposing team fouls. The center circle is where the game starts. The halfwayline symbolises the start of each team's side of the court.

The line on either side of the court is called the sideline, for obvious reasons. There is also usually a three feet area outside the out-of-bounds line designated for players to inbound the ball unobstructed by fans, cheerleaders, etc.

The sidelines of a soccer field (the longer edges that do not have goals centered on them) are called "touch lines". A ball that has wholly traveled over the whole of the line is said to be "out of touch".
