4 balls you get to go to first 3 stricks and you are out also if you hit the ball and the player gets it and throws the ball to the base before you get their then you are out.If you hit the ball in the air and the person catches it before it hits the ground the batter is out.Their is only 3 outs then the other team bats when they get done the ining is over
Softball is sport played by 9 players to a team. It has a 7 innings and 1 inning is when both teams have batted and fielded. The team with the most number of points in 7 innings wins. Each player must be able to field, bat and base run.
The game starts when the pitcher pitches towards the batter and the batter tries to get the ball in play by hitting it. When ball is hit. she then runs around the bases avoiding to be put out. the hitting team only gets a score once they've gone to all the bases and finally ends on homeplate
The defensive team's (those on the field) objective is to get the batters 3 outs. the batters in turn try to get as many runs as possible

Softball was invented in 1887. There probably isn't a definite date on when the first regulation was created but (i know it is common sense to run from home to first but) having to run a certain direction on the bases is a rule (technically) so the first rules would have had to have been created the day softball was invented, but those said rules are modified every year to ensure our safety.
