its really not hard at all if you want to no how to play or what to expect is make sure that your ready to be pellted and the best way to play is have a stradegy that's the key for most activites and having fun just try your best and you will have fun and it will be easy everytime you play!
Like most sports where you are getting shot with large-caliber projectiles at high speeds, it's not exactly entirely safe. A paintball to bare skin will leave a nasty welt, but will not break the skin... much. Depends on the range and the pressure the marker's putting out.
Sanity bear says "wear safety gear". And guys, wear a cup. Don't ask me how I know. For all genders, do try to cover any areas you don't want smacked hard enough to leave a good bruise, with some fairly substantial armor. Ears, eyes, throat, crotch, breasts (for women or bro-wearing men mostly) and so forth deserve special attention.
On the other hand, you could just wear a pair of goggles and a cup and go psycho Rambo style if you're good with pain. Other than a direct hit to an eye or a testicle, a paintball probably won't cause permanent damage, but I sure as hell don't want to get hit on bare skin in a sensitive area with one.
Enjoy!
Paintball differs for each person but by and large people get a large adrenalin rush off of playing so they have a lot of fun. It differs from sports like laser tag as the action of getting hit involves a physical object hitting and giving you a small amount of pain so there is real consequences to failing and therefore more motivation to do well. It is a fast paced and adrenalin filled game which is why it attracts so many people
Not very. Most fields are unable to be open during certain seasons of the year, and are only able to open on weekends. There is not a lot of flexablity for money making.
The other issue is that most fields only make money on the paint they sell, and thus have to ban paint that was purchased from other places. This tends to annoy people who dont understand that buying junk paint from Wal-mart doesn't help to keep their local paintball field open.
There are many variations on the game, but almost all of them involve hitting the opponent with paintballs thus eliminating them, until one team or man is left.
