I play at a high school level as a freshman and am 200 pounds 6 foot 4 inches. The average defensive lineman in NFL or College should be about 260-300 pounds 6 foot 2 inches to 6 foot 10 inches.

It depends what youre talking about. If you want to play full contaft football, it depends on what position. If you are skinny and tall you might want to play a receiver. If you short, you should try out as a running back. If you are larger you should try out as a lineman. There are 2 sides, offense and defense. It doesn't matter how big u r or how tall as long as u have the heart and desire to play defensive end. And as long as you have talent at the defensive end position you should do fine.

im a 14 year old defensive end. I am 5'7 and weigh 127. Im on the smaller side but i lead the league in tackles.
