The GA is the Goal Attack. She is allowed into the centre third, attacking goal third and goal circle. She can score goals. She will help out the centre court players in attack, for example, at the centre pass. She will work with the Goal Shooter (GS) to score goals in the goal third and will also feed the GS when appropiate inside the Goal Circle. She usually the one who will take the shot further away from the post and can be seen taking the Centre pass if the Wing Attack is marked and moving quickly after the centre pass is taken, into the goal circle. She is responsible for taking throw ins in the goal third if the ball goes out of court by the opposing GK or GD
The Goal Defence (GD) in netball is on the Goal Attack (GA).
The GD position is to defend the ball and try to get as many turnovers as possible and defend the GA when she has a shot a goal.
GA or goal attack is allowed in the centre third, the goal third that there team is shooting on and the goal circle on that third of the court.
