If you're just getting into Paintball a huge deterrent is the amount of money you must spend just to start paying. Most beginners start with a gun and package of around 100-150 dollars. This means you are looking for a decent preforming and extremely durable marker. You do not want to blow all of your money on an electric marker that's going to shoot faster than you need. Do not buy any of the $50 gun packages at Walmart unless you are planning only to play one time.
The most common starting gun is the Tippmann 98, because it is sold at most sporting goos stores. It is usually sold in a basic starter package with a mask, loader, and tank at a lower price than usual. The 98 is a Field rental because they are near impossible to break and do not require much maintenance. After you've played for a few moths, it is also easily upgradeable to fit your needs. However I do not feel this is the best option
My recommendation would be the Azodin Kaos. It is a stacked tube blowback that won the TechPB award in the <$100 category. It has a nice trigger and detention system for a starter marker as well as completely industry standard parts, so all stores carry barrels, feednecks, asa's, and macro line parts for it. Azodin Took the sub-par (non-mr) spyder designs and put quality and durable parts into them.
If you already have the basic Paintball gear and only need a gun Tippmann also makes a Carver One and Alpha Black, which are basically 98's but were built, in part, with the US Army and come cheaper, but are not sold in packages usually. They also have slight modifications like : the carver one does not have a forward handgrip, and the Alpha black has a carrying handle.
Another marker to look at is the spyder MR1. Unlike the cheap and breakable Spyders found at walmarts and sporting goods stores, The MR series are a viable option for newer players. It is a cheap marker that comes with a stock right out of the box, which can be good for people who are very used to actual shotguns and rifles or are uncomfortable with shouldering CO2 tanks.
beginner.... spyder, kingman once you get advanced more like an angel or dye
When someone is just doing paintball for the first time they need a paintball gun that is easy to use and light. The recommended one is a Tippman 98. Any of the variants will be good.
If your a beginner. It's ok, but don't get it if you have been playing for a while. All and all, no, not really.
It will preform the same as the bt4 and the tippmann 98. It is a beginner marker, so compared to the entire market it is not "good" I is however an excellent starter marker.
The new Azodin ATS and Tippmann Carver one are two you should look into for beginner markers.
No, even though it is cheap, it is not of very good quality and will break after several games. You should never spend less then 100 dollars on a paintball gun (new at least) if you want to play for more than a month.
Yes, it is a beginner level semi automatic marker.
No. They are not really paintball gun, but toys.
its a good starter gun
There is no "ak-47" paintball gun. there are many companies that make guns that are styled after the Kalashnikov series rifles. On the same note, Spyder makes several models of paintball guns, which vary from beginner "wallmart guns" to decent enough middle classed markers.
Though the Mini is an excellent marker, it is not a very good starting marker. Firstly it costs over $300, bust be run by a HPA tank, and needs an electric hopper to function well. This starting money is usually a HUGE deterrent to new players, and can burn out all of their paintball funds and energy, which could have been spent elsewhere. It is also not a good idea for your first gun to be an automatic electric, you will not be able to fix it (as a beginner) and will never learn to aim, like you must with mechanical markers. Automatic also wastes more paint then the average beginner needs or can afford. In the related links is a question about the best beginner markers
Its simply the 98 with a shroud and stock. For a beginner marker it is very durable marker. but compared to most $200 and $300 dollar guns it is not "good"
