It's a barrel for Tippmann paintball guns and only Tippmann guns. It specializes in a flat trajectory, though suffers in accuracy. How it works is it adds backspin to the paintball therefore shooting it in a flat trajectory. Tippmann argues that the barrel adds range and while it is true that the paintball is in the air longer than a standard barrel the problem is that because of the backspin the paintball looses speed as it goes, so right around there a paintball from a standard barrel hits the ground is where a paintball from a flatline becomes useless as well as it will not have enough speed to break on anything.
it is a barrel Tippmann produces for their markers, they claim it will make the ball go further and while this is true the part they do not tell you is at the extra distances the ball will bounce off whatever it hits rather than break, The barrel is loud and you need thick shelled paint to even use it so it does not break in the barrel, one of the worst inventions currently on the market
Tippmann 98 custom, only 100-150 bucks. What makes it the best is the flatline barrel you can buy, so much pwnage
All markers generally go the same distance, unless you have a specific barrel that adds backspin to the ball (apex barrel or flatline barrel). Typically they range in the area of 75 to 100ft. Much of this depends on the velocity.
cleans the barrel
no, because the air is what pushes the paintball out off the barrel.
