In a database a field with a formula is called a calculated field. A calculated field should actually be in a table, as it can be calculated from data in other fields in the table, so it normally only appears in queries, reports and forms. In a spreadsheet it would just be a calculation.

It is a field with a default value, so it is a default value field. Autonumber fields can also put values in themselves, as can calculated fields.
A calculated field is a term used for data that is generated on a form. For example, if you have a date of birth, you can calculate an age or you can calculate pay from hours and rates. Anything that can be calculated from other things, does not need to be stored as it can always be calculated from other data and it usually changes.
