Technical foul on coach for no more time outs who gets the ball he offending team had possession?

the opposite coach's team that asked for it.

If a player is dribbling the ball and gets fouled then he commits a technical foul what happens?

The opposing team shoots the technical foul free throw, then the player does whatever he would have done after he was fouled - either inbound the ball, or if the opposing team is in the penalty, shoot two free throws. Committing a technical foul does not nullify or offset the original foul.

When a second technical is called on a bench does the head basketball coach or the assistant get booted?

The head coach is the leader of the bench. If a technical gets called on the bench in general as opposed to a specific player or coach on the bench, the technical goes to the head coach.

What is a technical shot?

It's a free throw worth one point after someone on the other team gets a technical foul which are given out when a player or coach acts out of conduct such as yelling at the ref, talking trash, taunting, showboating, etc. In the NBA, a player shoots one technical shot for one point. In high school and NCAA (college) they get two technical shots for two points. In the NBA if both players/coaches on separate teams both get a technical foul it's a "double technical" and no free throws are shot.

Can you keep possession of the basketball if you committed a technical foul?

The team who just was fouled gets the ball at the free throw line, shoots the free throws, the the team who just shot the free throws gets the ball out of bounds close to where the foul happened. In example: Say you get pushed from the back at the top of the key. You will shoot two free throws, then you will get the ball straight across from where the foul took place, on the side lines. Under the basket technical fouls are under the basket out of bounds. There like a regular foul in where you take it out. Different in the free throws because no one is around you.

What is a double technical foul in college basketball?

A situation in which there is a foul by both teams at approximately the same time, but the fouls are not committed by opponents against each other. Case Play: A1 has the possession of the ball in his/her frontcourt and A1 goes up for a try to score. While he/she was airbourne, B5 initiated a contact and fouled A1. The try was successful but when A1 came back down, he/she committed a player control foul on B3 which cancelled the basket. A1 does receive two free throw for B5's foul. This is an example of a False Double Foul.

What is a tenical foul?

There's two types of technical fouls: 1. Standing in the paint (which is in front of the free throw line) for three seconds, if you're on offence, the other team will get the ball. If you're on defense, the team gets 1 free throw for one point. 2. Arguing with the ref, if a coach or a player argues with the ref, they'll warn you by saying they're going to give you a technical foul, if the coach or player keeps arguing with the ref, he will call technical on the coach/player, and the other team will get a free throw for one point. If a player gets two technicals in one game they'll get "injected" and cannot participate in the rest of the game, and cannot sit on the bench, he must leave. If a player/coach has a total of 7 technicals in one season or during the finals, they'll get suspended.

When a basketball team gets 7 fouls what happens?

What is a technical foul in nba?

A "technical foul" is different from a "personal foul". It dose not count as a "team foul". There is no physical contact. However it can be at times. Technicals are called when: a player stands in the "paint" (pass the free throw line under or in front of the goal) for three seconds. If your team is on offence, you commit an "offensive 3-second call", the other team gets the ball. If you're on defense you get a "defensive 3-second call" the other team gets a free throw, which is worth one point, that's how it's done in the NBA. Other technicals can be if the couch or a team player continues to argues with the referee. If that happens the other team gets a free throw for one point. If a player gets enough technicals in a game he/she will be "ejected" meaning they have to leave and cannot participate for the rest of the game, they can't even sit on the bench, the have to leave (NBA rules). If a player/coach gets seven technicals in the season/playoffs they get suspended (NBA rules). Refs. can also call technicals if a player tries to swing at another player, (that mostly will result in an immediate ejection), or if a player taunts another player.

What are the 3 fouls that can happen in a basketball game?

The whistle is blown once and play stops. If the player who is fouled has the ball, they get a free throw. If the player who is fouled is a defender, they are awarded the ball and get a free throw. The referee will point to the player who has the free throw with one arm and the direction of the team with the other. The whistle is blown twice. Play stops, and the player who commits the foul gets ejected for 20 seconds. This usually happens to a defensive player. The referee will point to the player who commits the foul (and blow the whistle), and point to the ejection area (and blow the whistle again). When a player pushes off the side of the pool (or the bottom) "false start" at the beginning of the play holding the ball under water (even if the defensive player is holding your arm down)
