Rawlings Pro 8 is a 12" glove!
12 inch gloves can be used for fast pitching and slow pitching. Some of the better brands are Mizuno, Rawlings, Nokona, Wilson, and Easton.
They are pretty good gloves. Most glove brands go through the same suppliers for material. At the end of the day, if I was going to spend over $200 I would stick with Wilson or Rawlings. If I was going to stay below $200 then maybe go with a Rawlings Gold Glove Elite from Dicks Sporting Goods. Also, follow some hardcore glove enthusiasts on Instagram and see what they are chatting about. Hope this helps!
Andy Pettitte uses a Louisville Slugger TPX glove.
Primos are generally heavier, and being a catcher its hard to go wrong with the 2403.

Cole Hamels uses a Rawlings Gold Glove series glove. I believe it's this one:http://www.hitrunscore.com/gg20bcb-rawlings-gold-glove-baseball-glove.html
Being an owner of both I can only speak for myself but the pro preferred has a much better leather and breaks in better and faster. I see no drawbacks besides the price. Well worth the money you spend on a glove that lasts as long as mine have and will. P.S. I have upgraded to a Rawlings Primo and love everything about it!
