in volley ball the setter in back just rotates as a normal player (hitter) until they get to the front where they run a 4:2 so the person in the middle switches with them after the ball is served and switches back after every point so people stay in rotation

a setter is a person who hits the ball into a spacific area in the front so the other person can spike it over to the other side.... this is a horrible answer
A setter is a player who touches the second ball to set it up for the third touch or spike. They are like the second captain on the court
Being a setter is a very important job to have. Most people are very lucky to be a setter. The role of a setter is that you get the 2nd ball in play, and you get the ball ready for the front row to spike it. If you are late to getting to the ball you might of cost your team one point.
a setter is in charge of setting (pushing the ball up in the designated place) so that one of the hitters can make an attack on the other side of the court. Setter is in charge of getting the second ball every time it is on their side.
There are alot of different sets a setter uses. It depends on the level of play, and what kind of block you are working with on the other side. Usually an outside hitter will be set a 4 or a 3. Middles have alot of different options; 1, 2, slide, chute, X, Gap. Right side hitters usually will hit a 5. Back row hits 10's, middle back hits the Pipe.
Very. The setter must be able to set high and near the net in order for the hitter to spike it on the opponent's court. It is very hard for a hitter to spike when the setter does not set well.
The job of the setter is to get under the ball up close to the net and to send it high into the air so the spiker can hit it over~
The setter is the most important person on a volleyball team. They are the person that decides who will get the ball.
