In Netball, GD (goal defence) defends the goal attack and trys to stop them getting the ball down the court. If the goal attack gets the ball into the circle and under the ring then the goal defence must defend him/her and attempt to catch the rebound if the shot misses. The goal defence must then help to pass the ball back down the court to their attacking team members.
GS - Goal Shoot GA - Goal attack WA - Wing attack C - Center WD - Wind defense GD - Goal defense GK - Goal keep
The positions in netball are WA (wing attack),WD(wing defense),GA(goal attack),GD(goal defense),C(center),GS(goal shooter),GK(goal keeper) That's all.
High 5 netball is basic netball without wing attack or wing defense. goal shooter and goal attack can go in the center and the third they are shooting in, the same with goal defense and goal keeper can go in the center and the third of the opposite team that is shooting. Center is exactly the same as usual.
the goal defence is allowed in the goal circle for the opposing team, the goal third for the opposing team and the centre third
Goal defence stands on the right and behind the center third line nearest the opposing teams goal.
the netball goal is 60cm wide
Goal attack - Poutuki, Goal shoot - Ringa titere, Wing attack - Paihau tuki, Centre - Takuahi, Wing defense - Paihau pare, Goal keep - Tautopenga, Goal defense - Poupare.
you can score a goal in netball when either goal attack or goal defence shoots the netball into the hoop.
Someone who is good at GD would be a high jumper and be able to get in-front of the ball so the other team can not shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try to stop the other team from scoring. When the Goal shooter or goal attack try to score try and knock the ball when they throw it (but don't try and knock it out of their hand while they are holding it, it's against the rules)
Wing defence can go up to the D of the opposing side and to the line in the center third nearest there own goal.
Well there's center, goal defense/attack, wing defense/attack, goal shooter/keeper, and there's 7 times two equals 14, so there's seven on each team totaling 14 players altogether.by Grace
