The basic rules are:

You can't move your feet with the ball.

You can't touch anyone else, with or without the ball.

You can't defend within three feet of the player with the ball.

No contact which means you can not touch/push/shove your opposition.

Obstruction which means that someone is defending too close, you have to be atleast 3 feet away from the person with the ball while defending.

No Stepping which means you are not allowed to walk/run with the ball.

Playball which is normally the third touch or it means you are not allowed to bounce the ball more than once or toss the ball in the air more than once.

Offside which means you go to a place on a Netball court where your not allowed to go.

short pass which means your pass is too short and yu know that its a short pass because your opposition can't intercept the ball because there is not enough room in between the pass.

contact on the ball which means you touch the ball while the opposition has the ball

holding, you can not hold your player

held ball which means you have the ball for than 3 seconds.

The basic rules for netball are:

Each team must have at least five players before taking to the court (one of these players must take the centre position). Once all the players are in their delegated positions (The centre with the ball in the centre circle, the opposing centre somewhere in the centre third, the Goal Attacks and Wing Attacks behind the line that divides the centre third from their shooting third, the corresponding Goal Defence and Wing Defence standing with them, The Goal Shooters in their shooting circles and the Goal Keepers in their defending shooting circles) the whistle is blown and play begins. When the whistle is blown the players are allowed in all of their playing area (Centre: All three thirds but not the shooting circles, Goal Attack: In their shooting circle and third as well as the centre third, Wing Attack: Their attacking third, but not the shooting circle, and the centre third, Goal Shooter: Their attacking third and defending shooting circle, Goal Keeper: Allowed in their defending third, Wing Defence: Their defending third, not the shooting circle, and the centre third and the Goal Defence: Defending third, defending shooting circle and the centre third) however if a player crosses a line before the whistle is blown the other team receives the ball behind the line they crossed. When a player catches the ball they cannot move their feet: If a player lands on both feet with the ball in hand or catches it while both feet are on the ground the player can choose which foot is the 'grounded foot' (the one that cannot move). The players other foot can move and the grounded can be lifted up once but not placed back on the ground. If the player lands on one foot then the other, or moves one foot the first foot or the one that hasn't been moved automatically becomes the grounded foot. If a player breaks any of these rules the other team takes the ball where the infringement occurred. If the ball crosses the outer lines of the court then a throw in is taken by the team that was not the last to touch it before it went out. Any player allowed in the area where the ball went out is allowed to take the ball in that same place. The players foot must approach the line but not cross it. If their foot is over the line or they made no effort to step up to the line and they still throw it then the throw in is taken and awarded to the other team who takes the throw in the same way. A player cannot hold the ball for more than three seconds, if they hold it for more then the other team takes the ball where the player was standing. If a ball crosses an entire third (goes from the base line at one end of the court and through to the centre third, goes from one goal third to the other or goes from inside the centre third to over the base line) without being touched by any player of either team then the ball is awarded to the team that did not throw that ball and is taken from on the far side of the line which divides the third the ball crossed untouched. Contact and Obstruction are the two penalties that are infringements of one player on another. Obstruction is when a player holds their arms over another player who is in possession of the ball while being closer than three feet. If a player does this the infringing player must stand out of play. This means that any player on the infringees team, who is allowed in the area where the infringement occurred may take the ball and the infringement (not anyone on their team, it has to be the infringer him/herself) stands beside the player with the ball. When the ball is released from the players hands they may reenter play. Contact is when a player engages in physical contact with a player who is in possession of the ball. The penalty is the same as in obstruction. A goal is scored when a goal shooter or goal attack throws the ball through their teams goal hoop. There are four, fifteen minute courters with varying breaks in between.

Netball has many more rules about how everything should be conducted (who can go on the court and when, and some of the rules may vary depending on the age-group and the level of play).

Thank you

I hope this helps!

I myself, am the best in my team. I am not bragging I am just telling the truth. But being good isn't just knowing how to throw the ball and know how to get away from your player. No it isn't. It is about learning the rules, being a good sport and just being able to outsmart your player and outsmart other people and find the right person to throw to and USE yout HEAD!The main rules of netball are . . . . . .

1. No contact. So basically, if someone has the ball, say your oponent has the ball. And you touch your oponent. The umpire will blow her/his whistle and she will say contact WA or whatever you are. That means you have to stand next to the person you touched. Then once the person throws the ball you don't have to stand still net to the person you have contavted.

2. No stepping. So basically, if you catch the ball and you take more then one step the umpire will blow his/her whistle and say Stepping WA or whatever postion you are. So with more detail I will explain. If you called for the ball and the person with the ball threw it to you and you caught it when you were on your right foot. You only get to have one step with your left foot. And when you step your left foot, and lift your right you can't put you right foot down again.

3. Abstructure. Abstructure is when you are too close to the person you are blocking. This is mt detailed eplanation. When you are trying to block the person with the ball. Your closest foot has to be three steps away. They say a meter so it is basically about a meter. Or your arms can be too close too.

There are more but that is all I am saying because my hands are aching from typing so I hope I helped you.
