The pitching mechanics is a quite a difficult skill to learn but once learned it can be a very natural movement. Like alot of skills the pitching mechanics is broken down into several steps. ready stance, stride, arm circle, hip thrust and follow through. The skills must be done in one coordinated process to have an effective pitch.

An underarm throw in softball is basically a pitch. If you watch a fast pitch softball team, you will see that the pitcher pitches underhand.
If your playing any kind of Womens softball then yes. But for mens softball, it matters what league your playing in. Some lay overhand slow itch, overhand fast itch, underhand slow pitch or underhand fast pitch. Check with a teamate or make sure what kinda of softball you are playing
under your waist
In softball, the ball is bigger. Baseball pitchers pitch the ball overhand while softball pitchers pitch underhand. Baseball is more of a boys sport and softball is generally more for girls.
they must pitch the ball underhand, and drag their foot after they push off of the mound
The term softball came from the way they first played, when pitching underhand was a soft, slow pitch. So it was soft..ball. You may also here the terms slow pitch for younger girls these days and fast pitch for older girls.
Softball and baseball are different for several reasons. First off the ball size of a softball and baseball are different. A softball is bigger than a baseball. Also a softball is yellow and a baseball is white. Also the dimensions of the field are different. In softball the bases are 60 ft apart and the baseball bases are 90 ft apart. The fences vary and the pitchers mounds for different leagues in both, but in baseball both the pitching mound and the fences tend to be a further than in softball. The pitching motions of the two are also different. In baseball one pitches overhand and in softball they pitch underhand. The games have the same basics concept, but differ a great deal.
You raise both hands up and drop the hand with the ball but put the other hand in the middle. you then load up and throw the ball (underhand)
No it is not. The only difference between softball and baseball. Is that there is a different ball for each sport.
