Find a league to play in that focuses on instruction so that you are matched with other players that are learning how to play. Also, if you can attend, there are camps that focus on improving your softball skills and they are aimed at players at all skill levels. Seek out people you know that play and are good at softball and ask them for advise, tips and see if they can help your practice. Batting cages also are a good way to get practice at watching and hitting the ball. Once you get the fundamentals down, then you can try more advance techniques. And most of all, have fun!OK so I love softball. Here are some tips to get you better. If you want to hit a home run while your in your stance put all your weight on your front foot. Instead of rotating your head when you swing rotate your body. During your swing pivet your back foot and i guarentee you will get a home run or somewhat close!
I learned to put my weight on my back foot. bring my front foot to touch my leg and put it back down( for power) swing my bat put rotate hips first! that's how you hit a good ball! ( it make you look good)
Aside from having good mechanics and developing strength on hitting. Having a good attitude over the plate would definitely make you a great hitter. Confidence and clutch hitting are traits of most of the better players currently in softball.
If you are able to adjust immediately at the plate that's a sign of maturity and strength on the plate

Any activity that entails moving, running, pumping your heart is beneficial to your health. Softball has alot of this. Being on a team also helps how you relate with people socially, being in a team also helps on other values which helps on your outlook on life. Softball also sharpens your mind as you come up with different strategies to win the game.
