Contrasting to popular belief, cheerleaders are NOT girls who shake pom poms and yell "go team go!" They are athletes who work as hard or harder than other sports and are very talented. They stunt, tumble, jump, and prove themselves in the two minutes and 30 seconds of the routine.
Compeitive cheer or All-Star cheer is a athletic sport. that you have to put hours of training in to. Some people do 20 or more hours of training a week and thats just for the chrograghy. That doesn't include stunt classes, jump classes, tumbling classes or contest and meets.

I don't agree with what the person wrote before this said. A cheerleader is a person who gets a crowd exicted!! They are simply girls or boys who are doing a sport with cheering. It may involve lifts, tumbling, chants/cheers, and othe things. To be a cheerleader you need to be physiaclly fit!! I am a cheerleader!!
Team of girl and/or guys that either cheer on the side lines of sport games and cheer them on and pump up the crowd or competitive cheer which you have a 2:30 minute routine that you work on all season improving, cleaning, making changes and compete against other competive team. there are competition that you can enter your gym into and compete.
A person that encourages happiness and support from a certain audience. This can be done by advocating a specific team, person, activity, etc. at all times, on and off a performing stage. He or she maintains a contagious positive attitude. He or she also completes his or her duties with a team that he or she stays faithful to.
Being a cheerleader means you are independent strong and willing to work together as a team. You are a leader and people will look up to you. Make right decisions and do good things. Cheerleaders are not skanky like people want them to be. That is not what it is about. It is hard work and alot of trust, flyers have to trust to always be caught and backspots, bases, and frontspots have to always be there for them and not let them fall. Not only do the people on the bottom have to be strong but the person on the top as well, they have to be extremely tight and flexable. The tumbling part is not easy either, it takes lots of work to get a backhandspring, and once you have that you can up grade to backtuck, layout, and evenually full.
The possessive form of the plural noun 'cheerleaders' is cheerleaders'.example: The cheerleaders' practice is at three today.
If 'they' are the 'cheerleaders', then 'cheerleaders' is the noun antecedent. The antecedent is the noun (or pronoun) that a pronoun replaces.example: The cheerleaders are on the field and they are ready to perform.
