2 bases: people who have the fliers feet in their hands.
1 backspot: person who hold the fliers waist, then ankles.
Flier or top: person who actually goes in the air.
Front spot: gives extra support to the bases, or the flier.
Hope that helps(:
you have your:
Flyer- gets thrown into the air and "flys."
Bases- holds the flyer and is usally underneath her throwing her into the air with the help of a backspot. there are two types of bases:
~main base- holds the flyer the most usally. is very dominant.
~secondary base- there to help the other base.
Backspot- stands in the back of the flyer to catch her if she is falling and also help the bases hold up some weight.
***** sometimes there can be a front spot or more bases depending on how coplicated the stunt is and how experienced the group of cheerleaders are.

All of the positions in a stunt group are important.
-The base holds the flyer up in the air (they're the main supporters of the flyer's body while she's in the air) and they also catch the mid section of the flyers body (the mid to lower back, waist, and butt)
-The back spot does the count, helps the flyer get into the stunt, and also catches the upper body (shoulders, arms, head, neck area)
-And the flyer does the crowd pleaser
