Carl Yastremski and Ted Williams both played in 18 all-star games. There were two games in 1959 and 1960, though, and Ted played in both of them each year. So Ted was an all-star in 16 seasons, while Yaz was an all-star in 18. Ted served in the military for 6 seasons during his prime, though, and most likely would have been an all-star during those seasons, as he was an all-star in the seasons bookending his service. So if not for his service, Ted would probably have been an all-star in 22 seasons. But technically speaking, Yaz was an all-star for the most number of seasons, while he and Ted are tied for most games, at 18.
