∙ 9y agoThe Rugby scrum requires the use of several major muscle groups. The most notable ones are the abdominal muscles, the back muscles, the hamstrings, quadriceps and the calves. Contrary to a common belief, upper body muscles are not very important in the scrum.

If you are caught using this practice its a 10 minute sin bin or if its the second yellow offence - your red carded. Well it depends between what swimmer and what rugby player as there are some swimmers with very big shoulder muscles and there are some with small shoulder muscles but viseversa there are some weak shoulder muscled rugby players and strong shoulder muscled rugby players..
