Practise the control of the ball such as bump, set, spike and of course always your serve.

Serve over the net, and then go lie down where the ball hits. If the ball hits another player, then the player lying down must get up and go serve, and the player who hit her lies down where the other player previously was. If the ball is served into the net or out of bounds, everyone must get up and start to serve again. The object of the game is to get everyone on the team to lie down on the other side of the court. If you also want to practice how well they do under pressure, you can set a clock for a certain amount of time and make the object to get everyone lying down in the amount of time you have set, and if they don't, they must do 15 pushups, run 5 laps, ect.

For 1 person practicing: Just do some of everything. For example do 5 serves, 20 sets, 15 bumps, 10 spikes. For a team: One person Serves and the others try to return it. Rotate who is serving and who is returning every 2 serves.

Lots of different strategies are used in volleyball. On the ofensive end plays can be run to score more points effectively. Some offensive plays could be a slide, a quick, or a stack. On the defensive end it just depends where you want your players against an attack from the other team.

Jumping jacks, jump rope, push-ups, planks, six inches, squats, running (dashes), sit-ups, calf raises, squat thrusts (burpees). These are common conditioning workouts we do in club volleyball, practicing volleyball techniques in general will definitely help improve your volleyball skills. Be sure you do this everyday and you will see visible results in your playing skills.
