Depending on the talent and ability level of your squad you could do thigh stands all the way up to prep. There are always variations of these stunts that are fun and look appealing as well. One stunt that is a favorite of my team is a quater-up to prep. Remember to follow proper skill progressions and always have adequate spotting.
to advance in cheerleading, it would be good to master at least a thigh stand, an elevator, and a cradle. a push up extended would be helpful, too. when that is mastered, you can move on to straight up extended and cradle from extended. when that is mastered, you can move on to the advanced stunts.
it depends in gymnastic you have the bars and beams which are hard but in cheerleading you have stunting and jumping. then in both you have tumbling which can be hard. i think both of the sports are hard and difficult.
They're are many types of cheerleading Stunts. The most popular include, preps, extensions, libs, scorpians, scales, areobesks, bow and aero, and one that is not too common, a needle. When trying these stunts, remember to stretch out alot and have a stunt group that you trust. Always have spotters when trying new skills
The competitor would be disqualified.
This is another web page by cheerjulia. The elements of cheer leading are stunts, cheers, dances and jumps. The stunts can be easy or complicated! For the youth division, you might learn thigh stands, preps, cradles and twist ups. Others might learn the mummy, twist downs, extensions, ball backs and back hand springs into stunts These all take a lot of hard work. The cheers are very important also! You must focus on your volume ( Turn it up until your lungs break!), speaking clearly and putting the jumps, stunts, and dance moves together with your words. The dance is all about synchronization, how you PUNCH out you motions and the difficulty of the moves. Lastly the jumps are about height, pointing your toes and the difficulty of you jumps. Some jumps are the toe touch, pike, hurdlers and spread eagles. These are just a few of the main elements of cheer leading! Check out my message board and other answered cheer leading and gymnastics questions. Remember, I'm Julia, the cheerleader and gymnast. Put it together it's cheerjulia!
Being anything in cheerleading is a good thing. You are privileged to be doing cheer as a sport because it takes a lot of hard work and determination to be anything in cheer. Being a flyer, everything is put on you to make all the stunts look really pretty by keeping a tight shape and locking out your knees and arms. Being a flyer you don't have to do a lot of the work just the icing on the top. Without the flyer there would be no stunt.
He does some of his own stunts I believe, but not all....
yes it would be described as a community!
Absolutely no one. You don't play cheerleading. You do cheerleading. It's not a game. But hundreds of thousands of girls and guys cheer. andd you would actually ask "Do you cheer" or say "Yeah i cheer" Hope that was helpful.
Cheerleading is a very challenging and difficult sport. If you don't think so then you should take time to consider all of the hard work and endurance and strength it takes to do a 2 minute and 30 second routine. it is not easy, i for one would kknow. Falling from stunts can be very painful for i have fractured my elbow, sprained my knee, and twisted ankles, landed to many times on my tailbone. cheerleading is not easy and not everyone can just throw out a back tuck or roundoff backhandspring... i would say that cheer is toward the top of the list at difficult sports... and i don't care if people think cheer isn't a sport...cuz its a SPORT to the people who participate in it...
there is no specific language to cheerleading, say it like you would regularly like omg heyy! like whats up?!
Gymnastics and Cheerleading are much alike in ways but Gymnastics is way harder Gymnast do tumble and do flips on the ground but they also do it 6 feet in the air on a 4 inch beam! Gymnastics gets judged on skills and if you don't do them perfect, that's just to bad. Most sports have an hour or longer to do there sport or a certain amount of tries, but gymnastics gets only one.
