The Super Bowl is pretty good for the US economy since during the two weeks leading up to the game, it generates money for the local economy by bringing in loads of tourists who probably have a good amount of money to spend in the stores. It also brings with it a lot of media attention, and the players are usually open for interviews during the week before the Super Bowl, which is great for the press all over the United States. The Super Bowl gives whoever is televising it tremendous money FM advertisements, and some non football fans even watch the Super Bowl just to see the commercials. Not to mention that it also generates money for stores since people throw Super Bowl parties.
