No not at all. In cheerleading sure you are at risk for some severe injuries but in hockey its pretty easy to get severe injuries.., let alone the fact that people are TRYing to hurt you. If cheerleading had a part where someone attempts to push them around maybe it would be remotely close to being as dangerous as hockey.. cheerleading doesn't have fights....nor getting hit into glass, nor getting hit by frozen rubber going at least 50mph LEAST.. So no... Cheerleading is not even remotely close to being as dangerous as hockey....
girls lacrosse is actually more dangerous than cheerleading
no Cheerleading is way more hard and dangerous. flying and stunting pyrimids scorpians dur
Totally. Cheerleading causes way More issues. Soccer causes only SOME ISSUES. However, Cheerleading, Flyers are thrown up in the air. CHEERLEADING IS WAY MORE DANGEROUS! i think that they are both very dangerous sports. no need to say one is more dangerous then the other. both have very big risks. and have seen many injuries from both cheerleading and soccer.
Statistics show that cheerleading is THE most dangerous sport in the US with more youth and female injuries than any other sport. Others that come close are Rugby, Ice Hockey, and Tackle Football
They shouldn't because cheerleading is very dangerous.
The dangerous elements of Cheerleading are Stunting (lifting or throwing a girl in the air) and Tumbling (gymnastics). The risk is less if you use mats and trained coaches
Stunts most definitley.
maybe but, there are many other dangerous parts of cheerleading
Currently, cheerleading accounts for around 66% of all women's catastropic injuries in the US, making it THE most dangerous women's sport in the country. Cheerleading is ranked as the 3rd most dangerous sport in the world, under only Rugby and Cave Diving. Motorcycling/ Dirt Biking rank 7th
cheerleading is definitely a sport. the definition of sport is anything that has competition to it. plus cheerleaders can get hurt just as bad as football players. in football if you miss a catch all you miss is da ball...but in cheerleading if you miss a catch den you miss da athlete. now which one sounds more dangerous????????? and when football players get tackled dey have pads on and stuff. cheerleaders dont have anything but their uniforms are. cheerleading is actually very dangerous. cheerleading is definitely a sport. the definition of sport is anything that has competition to it. plus cheerleaders can get hurt just as bad as football players. in football if you miss a catch all you miss is da ball...but in cheerleading if you miss a catch den you miss da athlete. now which one sounds more dangerous????????? and when football players get tackled dey have pads on and stuff. cheerleaders dont have anything but their uniforms are. cheerleading is actually very dangerous.
In cheerleading you can always get hurt considering all you do. It is a dangerous sport period. As you get older and get into more difficult stunts and routines, the risk of getting hurt increases. This is why you need a good coach that knows what their doing!
