In volleyball, if the ball is coming between the back row and the front row, typically the player in the back row should take the ball. This is because back row players are responsible for defensive plays and covering attacks. However, communication is key; if the front row player is in a better position to make a play, they should call for it. Ultimately, the decision should be made based on who is best positioned to make an effective play on the ball.
