In football if the striker shoots and hits the post then the keeper hits it in the goal is it an own goal?

technically, yes. A penalty is where there is a fault inside the goal lines, and the ref stops the game so one forward player can kick it into the goal net.

Or else your try to score the other way. When you kick a penalty and you get in and your teammates they might say "Good Shot" so Yes, yes it is.

Surely depends on if it goes in or not - or at least would've done if somebody didn't clear it off the line after hitting the woodwork! If it is - or would've been - a goal, it's on target. If it bounces back out without crossing the line (and wouldn't have if cleared) it's off target.
