if the coach does a penalty against the referee or the other team. if the coach mouth talks to much to a referee he could get a bench penalty
Yes. it's called a bench penalty and is a two minute minor penalty served by one of the players on the ice at the time it is assessed. The most common bench penalty is for too many men on the ice. They can also happen when a coach gets mouthy or home fans are too unruly.
The head coach is the leader of the bench. If a technical gets called on the bench in general as opposed to a specific player or coach on the bench, the technical goes to the head coach.
I THINK that the designated in-home must be a starting attackman.

Each manager uses the bench coach differently but, generally speaking, the bench coach is an assistant manager. Before the game he takes some of the simple responsibilities, such as filling out lineup cards, away from the manager so the manager can meet with the media and talk to players. During the game the bench the manager will usually talk strategy with the bench coach. The bench coach may chart where pitched balls are hit, set the defensive positioning for a particular batter, and give signs to fielders on what plays to run depending on where a ball is hit.

First you could start as an assistant coach or just go to a good amount of lacrosse games. You can sit in on some college practices or even high school practices to figure out some drills...you have to know something about lacrosse I would say to be able to coach...but you can look online for some drills
