I work for Purdue University as a Student Equipment Manager, and I know for a fact that our Head Equipment Manager makes well over $60,000 per year plus bonuses. Recently our Assistand Head Manager left for a position where he will be paid $65,000 per year plus a car allowance and cell phone allowance, and he is only an assistant.

So to answer your question almost all NFL Equipment Managers make over $80,000 per year.

The average cost per player ranges from $1100 to $1200. Teams can start the season with 90 players on camp before cuts. Figuring that they have a 25% replacement reserve, the typical franchise carries approximately 115 sets of gear. The estimated cost would be $138,000.

This does not include the costs for footballs. The team will have a supply of practice footbals, and the league supplies all game used footballs.
