So you get a free throw when you are fouled for example when you are shooting and some1 hits ur arm, but also for other reasons
you are allowed 2 shots for when some1 hits ur arm & other times, and allowed only 1 shot for other reasons (the referee will decide how many shots)
each shot you make only gives you 1 point
i hope i helped :)

One point for each successfully made free throw.
This can happen when a player is fouled while shooting a 3-pointer and makes the shot. They are awarded with a free throw, in addition to making the 3-pointer. If the free throw is made, the result is 4 points.

It is called making a basket. Two points are awarded if a player makes a basket from within the three point arc... and three points are awarded if a player makes a basket from beyond the three point arc.
The special shot awarded to a player who has been fouled is called a "free throw." This opportunity allows the player to shoot the ball unopposed from the free-throw line, typically worth one point if successful. Free throws are commonly awarded in basketball for various types of fouls committed by the opposing team.
if its an actual free throw it 1 point, but if its a live ball its 2(:
