In a day if the full play is possible (i.e without any interruption of bad light or weather) 90 overs has to be bowled. The play will be off 6 hours & will be of three sessions & the timings depend on the country in which the match is being played.

Usually in India

The first session will be of 10 AM to 12:00 Pm
preceeding by Lunch Break 40 mins

Second Session will be from 12:40 - 2:40
preceeding by Tea Break 20 mins

Then Third session will be from 3:00 - 5:00

In addition to this if the batting teams innings gets over 10 mins break is given for the next team to start batting & additional drinks break can be taken for 10 mins after an hour in a session.

Final Session may be extended for 30 mins if the 90 overs has not been bowled (considering light & weather conditions support).
